Many people give your awning a road use, ie use it to protect their space against all weather, moderate or severe sometimes.
The sheet is used both as shelter from rain, wind, etc.. as to keep the sun and this is a very important point of conceptualization.
At the time of purchasing an awning or protect an area we must be clear so that it serves an awning.
An awning protects mainly the sun and is in this function excellently highlights where there are some models able to withstand rain and moderate winds but are merely forcing the natural function of the awning.
The whole is intended to provide shade and cool, mimicking the maximum possible to the natural feeling of being under a tree.
If after all this you still want an awning all must take into account the following points:
• The best canvas for water are those of its waterproof PVC and high speed drying. These tissues to my taste not give the awning the same elegance as the canvas.
• Modern acrylic canvases will resist water better than the old cotton sheeting that had just rotting, but accused early deterioration and aesthetics deteriorating rapidly. These canvases do not dry quickly and although they have antifungal treatments and salt, over time will yield seams.
• There resinated Acrylic sheeting on one hand leave “skid” water and the other kept the normal appearance of the awning.
• In the market we also find that disadvise waterproofing spray fully because all they do is waterproof the canvas for a while giving this a very visible aspect of artificiality.
• Better the more rigid structure. The working pressure in the wind is given to us by the surface of the canvas, the more volume we structure this sail under our awning will be more robust. Sliding sheets in the normal range and technique are more appropriate in these cases (always remembering that the awning was initially designed to protect from the sun).
• Many times having our tent in the rain is due simply to have forgotten that we deployed. A good solution to these frequent and typical oversights is the installation of sensors and automation that will make for us the job of collecting the awning when weather conditions require it. The aesthetic and durability benefits that these devices offer pay more than their initial cost.
